INTRODUCTION

24sixandsundays was born from over 20 years of design and construction experience of superior brand stores for internationally renowned brands.                                                                        Each brand has its own strategy for retail, which needs to be in harmony with other brand expressions and contribute to the brand experience.  Despite the continually changing character of international retail, the brand DNA that remains unchanged. It is essential for us to fully understand the essence of the brand DNA before we determine the right approach for your project.

DESIGN

The process starts with the design, but our integral approach does not allow us to view design as a separate from all following phases. 

Before starting with our design process we look at the desired end result.  We try to imagine what the space will be like once it is finished and everyone is sat at their work space.  Will it be an inspiring and pleasant environment?  Will clients enjoy visiting your offices?  Will it have the look and feel that reflects your company DNA?  What is the budget required and will we succeed in meeting the project deadlines?

Only once we feel we have the answers to these questions can we proceed with the design phase.

We do not only execute concepts that we also designed.  Frequently, our clients have selected their own architect. In this case we equally strive to understand the design concept so we can properly execute the following project phases.  Naturally, we will involve the architect as part of the project team.

SURVEY

This is the crucial phase between design and realisation.                                                                      We examine the current condition of the building and establish what is required to execute the design whilst upgrading to current standards.                                                                                            This is the phase where we chart our plan of approach and work out the budget.

ENGINEERING

Engineering is crucial to the success of the retail formula.  It is the essential link between the design and execution phase.  In this phase materials and production techniques are determined.  In addition, we need to consider packaging, transportation, installation and maintenance in order to establish the budget.

Successful concept engineering combines a sound sense of the design with knowledge of production techniques, logistics and installation, while also considering post installation maintenance.

It is this phase in particular where our 20 year experience is able to make the difference.  From flagship stores in the world capitals to outlet stores in the country, suburban concept stores to department store shop-in-shops, you will find them in our portfolio.

ENGINEERING

Depending on material choice, production techniques, design and quantity, we determine whether production should take place with our preferred vendors in Europe or in Asia.

The installation of the store interior can be done with our own team or we can work with the installation team of the shop fitter.  Should you have your own preferred production vendor we will include them as part of the team.

MAINTENANCE

Often store maintenance is not considered fully when a concept is developed.  

We think it very important that the store looks as good a year after opening as it did on opening day. Naturally wear and tear means that elements need to be repaired or replaced.  By taking this into account during the engineering phase, such tasks will be easy to carry out and the desired quality can be maintained.
